简历 1929年3月8日 出生于广东省揭西县五经富乡。
1952年 于上海医学院毕业。
1953—1956年 任广州中山医学院微生物教研室助教。
1956—现在 先后任中央卫生研究院微生物系病毒学室(以后先后改为中国医学科学院病毒学研究所、中国预防医学科学院病毒学研究所)助理研究员、副研究员、研究员、病毒学研究所肿瘤病毒研究室主任、副所长、所长、副院长。
1973—31974年 在英国格拉斯哥病毒研究所学习和工作。
