    Effect of acupuncture the points of the pericardium channel of the Hand-Jueyin(手厥阴心包经穴) on cardium troponin in myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury

    Abstract: Objective: To explore effect of acupuncture on pericardium channel of the Hand-Jueyin points (手厥阴心包经穴) on cardium troponin (cTnT) during the process of ischemia and reperfusion injury. Methods: Fifty rats were randomly divided into five groups,normal group,ischemia and reperfusion injury group,acupuncture Neiguan point (the inner pass point,内关穴)group,Ximen point (郄门穴)group,Zhigou point(支沟穴) group.Acupuncture was given at the Hand-Jueyin points for 20 minutes, followed by ligation of anterior descending branch of the left coronary artery and 40 minutes later, acupuncture the points for 20 minutes again, reperfusion for 60 minutes,with electrocardiogram monitoring.Then,venous blood was taken and the contents of cTnT were observed.The result on acupuncture the Zhigou point was control. Results: In the acupuncture groups,cTnT contents decreased obviously,compared with model group were significantly(both P<0.01),and compared with Zhigou point group was so (both P<0.01). Conclusion: Acupuncture the Hand-Jueyin points can obviously control the contents of cardium troponin,reduce the injury degree during the process of ischemia and reperfusion injury.

    Study on Guanxin salvia drop pill to pituitary induced acute myocardium ischemia

    Abstract: Objective: To study the effect of Guanxin salvia drop pill (GXSDP,冠心丹参滴丸) on pituitary induced acute myocardium ischemia.Methods:Pituitary(0.35 U/kg) was given to model of acute myocardium ischemia.The changes of theⅡ road electrocardiogram (T wave) and contents of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),creatine phosphokinase(CPK),superoxide dismutase (SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA) in serum were observed after injection pituitary via sublingual vein.Results: GXSDP group could significantly lower the height of T wave. The SOD activity in GXSDP group was significantly increased and MDA content was significantly decreased. Conclusions: GXSDP have the functions of anti-acute myocardium ischemia.

    Changes of β-endorphin in different tissue of the rabbits with incomplete trauma paraplegia

    Abstract: Objective: To explore the changes of β-endorphin (β-EP) in different tissue of the rabbits with incomplete trauma paraplegia,and the significance of β-EP during convalescence. Methods: The concentrations of β-EP in blood plasma, spinal cord,hypothalamus and pituitary of the rabbits were determined at six hours,seven days and fifteen days after rabbits damaged.Results:The β-EP level in all tissues of rabbits with incomplete trauma paraplegia at all times were much higher than the control group (all P<0.01),and then decreased with the time passed by.The descend speed of β-EP level in the pituitary was the fastest, and second was the spinal cord,then the blood plasma and hypothalamus.During the early stage of damage (at six hours) β-EP levels produced by hypothalamus and pituitary were a negative straight correlation, β-EP levels in pituitary and spinal cord were a positive straight correlation,β-EP levels in hypothalamus and blood plasma were a positive straight correlation.During restorating stage (on the fifteen days), β-EP levels in pituitary and spinal cord were decreased markedly, but β-EP levels in hypothalamus and blood plasma reduced slowly and were a positive straight correlation. Conclusion: The pituitary is the most sensitive tissue of secretion of β-EP after the spinal cord damaged.Secretion of β-EP in pituitary can cause the level of β-EP in spinal cord is higher and participate in the secondary change of the spinal cord damage.In the early stage of damage of rabbits, cardiovascular disfunction perhaps relate to the secretion of the β-EP in hypothalamus cause by spinal cord damage which led to the level of β-EP in blood plasma increase.

    Effective study of Dachengqi decoction(大承气汤) on multiple organ dysfunction syndrome

    Abstract: Objective: To estimate the effect of traditional Chinese and western medicine on multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). Methods: We conducted a prospective case-control study with 51 systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) patients in ICU during June 1999 to September 2000. Twenty-five patients in treatment group were treated with western medicine combined Dachengqi decoction,26 patients in control group were treated with western medicine alone.Patients' clinical situation and outcome were observed,meanwhile the blood levels of endotoxin,tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α),interleukin-1β (IL-1β), IL-4, IL-6, IL-10 and human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DR(HLA-DR) were monitored. Results: The inflammatory mediators of treatment group improved significantly, and mortality of treatment group significant decreased compared to control group (28.57% vs 70.59%, P=0.032). Conclusion: Dachengqi decoction combined with western medicine can regulate patient's immune function, improve the outcome of MODS.

    Effect of Panaxadiol(人参二醇) on the α1-antitrypsin and the serum enzyme levels of the mice intoxicated with nitric tetroxide

    Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of Panaxadiol(人参二醇)on the α1-antitrypsin (α1-AT) and the serum enzyme levels of the mice intoxicated with nitric tetroxide,and then to find new method to deal with intoxication.Methods:One hundred and twenty three male LACA mice were divided randomly into three groups according to body weight,control group,intoxication group,Panaxadiol group, n=41. Nitric tetroxide was given to mice through inhalation for 15 minutes. Panaxadiol was administrated by peritoneal injection (0.2 ml, 7 days). α1-AT,alanine aminotransferase (ALT), cholinesterase(ChE),creatinine(Cr),lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and α-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase(HBDH) were detected after intoxication 1,12,48 hours respectively.Results:Compared with control group,intoxication of nitric tetroxide could reduce the α1-AT level significantly.Administration of Panaxadiol could not affect the normal α1-AT level of the control group but could ameliorate the decreased level of α1-AT of the intoxication group. Furthermore, administration of Panaxadiol could attenuate the deterioration of ALT、Cr、LDH and HBDH respectively. Conclusion:Panaxadiol can reduce the increasing levelofα1- AT,ALT,Cr,LDH and HBDH which induced by nitric tetroxide. These beneficial effects of Panaxadiol may be due,in part,to the direct inhibitory effect on neutrophil elastase,in addition to protect the dysfunction of liver and kidney.

    Alteration of gastrointestinal hormone in multiple organ dysfunction syndrome after abdominal surgery and the curative effects of kangyanling(抗炎灵)

    Abstract: Objective: To observe the alteration of gastrointestinal hormone level in multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) patients after abdominal surgery,the curative effects of Kangyanling (抗炎灵) on MODS and its mechanisms. Methods: Forty-two MODS patients after abdominal surgery were randomly divided into two groups. Treatment group (n=19)was treated with Kangyanling(抗炎灵) for 3 days after being diagnosed MODS, and control group (n=23) was treated with same volumn normal saline. The level of gastrointestinal hormones as plasma gastrin (GAS), motilin (MTL), vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) and somatostatin (SS) were measured before MODS,1st day,3rd day and the 5th day after MODS respectively were measured with the same method in two groups.Results:The level of plasma GAS,MTL,VIP and SS in MODS patients decreased significantly,then increased gradually following with the lightening of MODS' state.Kangyanling can promote recovery of gastrointestinal hormones in plasma.Conclusion:The decrease of gastrointestinal hormones level can inhibit the movement of gastrointestinal tract and give rise to bacterial translocation, which perhaps are the important cause of MODS after abdominal surgery.Kangyanling can promote secretion of gastrointestinal hormone,and restore the gastrointestinal tract movement,and reduce the gut bacterial translocation, which perhaps are the mechanisms of Kangyanling for treating MODS after abdominal surgery.

, 百拇医药     Abstract: Objective: To study pathogenesis of ischemic brain damage in aged rats by free radical and the effect of prevention and cure of the traditional Chinese medicine. Methods: Young rats were randomly divided into young control group and young model group;aged rats were randomly divided into aged control group,aged model group,Nimodipine group,rhubard (大黄) group, Yiyuanhuoxue (益元活血丹) group and Yiyuanhuoxuedahuang (益元活血丹合用大黄) group. The changes of the wave amplitude of electroencephalogram (EEG),the brain water ratio,the contents of superoxide dismutase (SOD),malondialdehyde (MDA) and nitric oxide (NO) were observed in the rats with incomplete cerebral ischemia. Results: ①There were more significance between young model group and young control one, the same as between aged model group and aged control one in decreasing the wave amplitude of EEG and serum and brain tissue SOD activity(P<0.01,P<0.05),and increasing the brain water ratio,serum and brain tissue ones of MDA and NO (P<0.05,P<0.01). ②The wave amplitude of EEG and serum and brain tissue SOD activity were decreased, while the brain water ratio, brain tissue MDA contents and serum NO contents were elevated in aged model group with respect to young model one (P<0.05,P<0.01). ③Compared with aged model group, the wave amplitude of EEG and serum levels of SOD in all treated group were higher (both P<0.01), while the brain water ratio, brain tissue MDA contents decreased(both P<0.01). Serum and brain tissue contents of NO decreased in rhubard group(both P<0.01). Conclusion: The mechanism that ischemic brain damage is more serious in aged rats than that in young's is related to aging.Drugs for tonifying the kidney and promoting blood circulation and purgation and compatibility have protective effects on cerebral ischemia in aged rats by antagonizing the damage of free radical and improving metabolism of NO.

    Prevention and treatment of activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs on microvascular lesions of heart,brain of rats in endotoxin shock

    Abstract: Objective: To study protective effect of activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs in the microvascular of heart, brain of rats in endotoxin shock.Methods: Thirty Wistar rats were divided randomly into three groups:control group was given normal saline (NS),endotoxin shock group was given lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and treatment group was given activating microcirculation and removing stasis (AMRS,活血化瘀) medicinal herbs. Electron microscope was used to observe the ultrastructural lesions of microvascular endothelial cells of heart, brain and different degree of lesion was compared. Results: It was revealed the remarkable changes in endotoxin shock group, that microvascular endothelial cells of the heart and brain were swelling, necrosis, and until disappear. The neutrophil adhesion, platelets aggregations, and fibrin agglutinations within the microvascular lumens.In treatment group, microvascular endothelial cells ultrastructurally tended back to normal, there were no obvious lesions in microvascular lumens as so. Conclusion: AMRS medicinal herbs appear to be able to improve and heal the damaged endothelial cells in treating endotoxin shock.

    Effect of Naoningkang particle (脑宁康颗粒) on level of CD 62P of rats treated ischemic preconditioning

    Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Naoningkang (NNK) particles (脑宁康颗粒) on the receptor of CD62P blood platelet surface membrane after rats treated ischemic preconditioning (IPC). Methods: The rats' IPC and ischemic reperfusion (IR) models were made by methods of Pulsinelli four tubes and Liu respectively. Level of receptor of platelet membrane CD 62P was observed before and after administrated NNK by flow cytometer and method of fluorescent antibody label.Results:The changes of CD 62P in IPC model groups were smaller than those in IR model groups.There was significantly different in IPC pathological model group(P<0.05). There had efficacy on CD 62P in NNK and asprine groups.It showed (2.06±0.06)%(IPC model) and (1.98±0.05)% (IP model) in two NNK groups,better than those(2.16±0.07)% (IPC model) and (2.03±0.05)% (IP model) in two ASP groups,while there was no significantly difference. Conclusion: NNK can adjust CD 62P level stability on two kinds of models and its effect is similar to ASP. So NNK may have function to induce and tonify IPC and protect brain neuron.

    Protective effects of Ginkgolide (银杏内酯) on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats

    Abstract: Objective: To study the cerebral protective effects of Ginkgolide (银杏内酯) on cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.Methods:The model of acute reperfusion injury after cerebral ischemia in rats was made by middle cerebral artery occlusion.One hour after the ischemia occurred,the Ginkgolide and saline were via gastric garage to the rats respectively and the ischemic condition lasted for another hour with a following 24 hours reperfusion. The neurological grades and the cerebral water were measured.The volume of the cerebral infarction by 2% TTC stained was estimated. Results: The neurological grades with acute reperfusion injury after cerebral ischemia in any of the Ginkgolide groups were significantly lower than that in the control group (all P<0.01). In Ginkgolide middle dose (49.5 mg/kg) and high dose (148.5 mg/kg) groups, Ginkgolide could significantly decrease the cerebral water content, and relieve edema.Ginkgolide of all doses could reduce the volume of cerebral infarction of the impaired brain hemisphere in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion: Ginkgolide has great cerebral protective effects against ischemia-reperfusion injury.

    Regulate effects of Danggui Buxue decoction(当归补血汤) and prescription containing rheum officinale bail and gardenia jasminoides ellis(大黄栀子组方) on blood component in trauma rats

    Abstract: Objective: To evaluate preventing rules of Danggui Buxue decoction (当归补血汤) and prescri ption containing rheum officinale bail (大黄栀子组方) on trauma stress. Methods: Forty Wistar rats were randomly divided into Danggui Buxue decoction treatment group (therapyⅠ), prescription containing rheum treatment group (therapyⅡ), trauma control group and health control groups. The bone trauma animal model were made by smashing of 1 kilogram weight iron fall from 50 centimetre height and were treated two times daily with Danggui Buxue decoction,prescription containing rheum officinale bail and gardenia jasminoides ellis respectively by oral at 1 hour after injured. Trauma and health control rats were given 0.9% NaCl respectively at the same time.The peripheral blood were collected and mononuclears and platelet in it were analyzed by conventionality test.Results:The number of total white blood cells (TWBC) and neutrophil increased significantly while platelet decreased at 4 hours after injured.The TWBC began to restore at 12 hours but increased again at 24 hours after injured.The number of TWBC in therapy Ⅰ and therapy Ⅱ groups lower while platelet higher than that of control (P<0.01), especially at 4 hours after injured. The preventing rule in therapy Ⅱ group longer than that of therapy Ⅰ. Conclusion: Danggui Buxue decoction and prescription containing rheum officinale bail and gardenia jasminoides Ellis have the ability to control inflammatory cells increasing and platelet consuming in peripheral blood. The peak effective time consistent with the stress hormone secreting in the same kind of trauma animals.The results indicate that those two herb prescriptions can regulate stress reaction by different mechanism.

    Clinical research on fonzylane and high oxygen pressure in treatment of vascular dementia

    Abstract: Objective: To investigate the Clinical curative effect of fonzylane and high oxygen pressure in treatment of vascular dementia. Methods: Forty cases of patients with vascular dementia were randomly divided into treatment group (20 cases) and control group (20 cases). The control group was treated with routine therapy; the treatment group was adding fonzylane and high oxygen pressure. MMSE and HDS were used to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy. Results: The total effective rates of improving symptoms were 92.85% and 43.56% (P<0.01),and the total effective rates of enhancing life ability were 73.57% and 65.03% respectivelyin treatment group and control group.In treatment group,MMSE was (14.8±3.5) scores before treatment and (22.9±4.3) scores after treatment (P<0.01),HDS was (14.2±5.8) scores before treatment and (22.6±6.5) scores after treatment (P<0.1).In control group,MMSE and HDS were improved after treatment, but the difference was not significant (both P>0.05). MMSE and HDS had significantly difference after treatment in treatment group compared to control group (P<0.01 and P<0.05). Conclusion: fonzylane and high oxygen pressure is efficacious and safe for the treatment of vascular dementia. It’s one of measures to treat vascular dementia.

    Clinical research of Xuefu Zhuyu decoction (血府逐瘀汤) treating traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage

    Abstract: Objective:To study on clinical effect of the Xuefu Zhuyu decoction (血府逐瘀汤) in patients with traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (tSAH). Methods: Eighty cases with tSAH within 3 years were randomly divided into a Chinese herbal medicine treatment group (41 cases) and a routine treatment group (39 cases). The latter adopts the routine treatment, and the former, on the basis of the routine treatment, adds the Xuefu Zhuyu decoction from the 3 days on after injured.Take a dose per day by simmered in water for 7-10 days in succession.The curative effect in two groups were observed.Results: In the Chinese herbal medicine group,cure was 15 cases,appears effective was 12 cases,takes effect was 8 cases, no effect was 6 cases. But cure was 5 cases,appears effective was 6 cases,takes effect was 13 cases,no effect was 15 cases in the routine group.The effective rate between the two groups (85.0% vs.62.5%) was significantly (P<0.05). Conclusions: The Xuefu Zhuyu decoction takes a better curative effect on tSAH.

    Abstract: Objective: To study the relationship between serum levels of hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA) hormones, bleeding quantity and apoplectic kind of tranditional Chinese medicine in the patients of acute cerebral hemorrhage (ACH). Methods: Serum corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), corticosteroid (CS) levels were determined using RIA, IMRA in 109 patients with ACH during acute stage. The changes of parameters in apoplexy involving the zangfu organs (中脏腑) and involving the channels and collaterals (中经络) were analyzed and compared with those of 30 healthy subjects for control. Results: The serum levels of HPA hormones in the patients with ACH were significantly higher than those of healthy control group(all P<0.01), and involving the zangfu organs were singnificantly higher than those of involving the channels and collaterals(all P<0.01); Levels of HPA hormones had significant relation with bleeding quantity. Conclusion: These results suggest that HPA hormones seem to take part in the development and progress in process of ACH, measurement of their contents be help to judge the fine differential diagnosis, severity of illness, predict the prognosis and evaluate the therapeutic effective in disease's kind of apoplexy.

    Abstract: Objective: To observe the protection of Xingnaojing-Shengmai decoction (醒脑静-生脉混合液) to the cortical astrocytes injurying by thrombin.Methods: Mixing Xingnaojing injection (醒脑静注射液) and Shengmai injection (生脉注射液) by a score of one-fifth,study the protection of Xingnaojing-Shengmai decoction to the cells by observing cell structure, image analyzing cells size and measuring lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) in the culture system with the best fitted protective concentration of Xingnaojing-Shengmai decoction to the cortical astrocytes injurying by thrombin. Results: Xingnaojing-Shengmai decoction could inhibit cell edema, maintain normal structure of cell, and lower LDH in the culture system. Conclusion: Xingnaojing-Shengmai decoction protects cell membrane to play a obvious protective role on the cortical astrocytes injurying by thrombin.

    Effect of rhubarb on the renal function of patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome

    Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of rhubarb on the renal function of patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS). Methods: Sixty-two patients of SIRS with normal renal function were randomly divided into two groups. Thirty patients were treated with conventional therapy (control group), 32 patients were treated with both rhubarb through nose feeding for 5 days and conventional therapy (therapy group). Plasma endothelin (ET), plasma creatinine (SCr), urine trace albumin (ALB), urine β2 microglobin (β2-MG) were measured in all patients respectively before therapy, 24 hours after therapy, 120 hours after therapy. Results: One hundred and twenty hours after therapy,all the four parameters (ET, SCr, ALB, β-MG) in the therapy group were decreased significantly than those in the control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion:Rhubarb can protect the renal function of patients with SIRS.

    Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of puerarin injection (葛根素注射液)combine with Enalaprilat in treatment of diabetic nephropathy (DN). Methods: Ninety cases with DN were randomly divided into control group, Enalaprilat group, and puerarin + Enalaprilat group. Twenty-four hours urine micro albumin (UmAlb) were observed and compared within three groups.Results: The UmAlb were reduced significantly after treatment in two therapeutic groups(P<0.05, P<0.01). There was much obviously decreased in puerarin+ Enalaprilat group than control group(P<0.01). There was significantly difference after treatment between puerarin+ Enalaprilat group and Enalaprilat group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Unite puerarin with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) is an effective and safe therapy in DN.

    Clinical observation on Buyang Huanwu decoction(补阳还五汤) in treatment with closed craniocerebral injury

    Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical curative effects of Buyang Huanwu decoction (BYHWD,补阳还五汤) in closed craniocerebral injury. Methods: One hundred and eight patients were randomly divided into two groups.The treatment group (n=54) was treated by BYHWD combined with conventional therapy of western medicine. The control group (n=54) was treated with conventional therapy alone. Results: The curative effects (recovered and marked effective rate) in treatment group was significantly superior to that in control group (88.89% vs.68.52%,P<0.05). The duration of coma in treatment group was significantly shorter than that in control group〔(5.70±2.71)days vs.(7.80±2.42)days,P<0.05〕.Conclusion: Using BYHWD is able to increase the cured rate, reduce the mortality rate, shorten the therapeutic course and improve the life quality.

    Clinical study on the Shenmai injection (参麦注射液) improving the oxygen metabolism of old patients

    Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of Shenmai injection (参麦注射液) on preventing multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) of old patients. Methods: One hundred and forty-six old patients were randomly divided into Shenmai injection group and control group, 73 patients in each group. Cardiac output (CO), arterio-venous blood gas and arterial blood lactate were monitored before and after therapy. Cardiac index (CI), oxygen delivery(DO2) and oxygen consumption(VO2) were calculated in both group.Results:DO2 and VO2 of Shenmai injection group were significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.01,P<0.05),arterial blood lactate of Shenmai injection group was significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.01).The incidence of MODS on Shenmai injection group(21.9%) was significantly lower than that of control group (47.9%),P<0.01. Conclusion: Shenmai injection can improve the phenomena of defective oxygen consumption of old patients,increase DO2 and extraction of oxygen of tissue,correct acidosis, and it is effective drugs to prevent

    Effects on Naloxone (纳络酮) and Xingnaojing (醒脑静) injection in severe craniocerebral injury

    Abstract: Objective: To study the therapeutic effect of Naloxone(NLX,纳络酮) and Xingnaojing (XNJ, 醒脑静) injection used united in treatment for severe craniocerebral injury. Methods: fifty-nine patients with severe craniocerebral injury were randomly divided into two groups, NLX and XNJ therapeutic group (n=30) and control group (n=29). The changes of patients′ life symptom, consciousness, Glasgow coma scale (GCS) and Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) three months later were observed. Results: The average anabiosis time of therapeutic group〔(8.12±3.65)days)〕 was significantly shorter than control group〔(12.42±3.82)days, P<0.05〕.The GCS postburn ten days (10.52±3.43) was significantly higher than control group(8.32±4.04, P<0.05). The GOS was significantly higher than control group too (4.52±2.02 vs.3.68±2.15, P<0.05) three months later. Conclusion: The united use of NLX and XNJ injection can significantly shorten the coma time, take down the deformity and mortality. And it can do help to neuro function resume.It may antagonize the release of β-endorphin(β-EP) after been injured,improve cerebral microcirculation and restrain microthrombosis in cerebrum by any possibility., 百拇医药
