Randomized double-blind controlled study of killing Hp quadruple therapy on peptic ulcer and
quality of ulcer healing

Abstract
AIM To study the effect of peptic ulcer and quality of ulcer healing by the method of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
METHODS This was a prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study. Seventy-five patients with active peptic ulcer and positive Hp were randomly allocated to three groups, under the double-blind and double-mimic condition, to receive one of the following regimens: new triple therapy (group A): lansoprazole plus clarithromycin plus amoxycillin for 10 days; killing Hp quadruple therapy (group B): the three above drugs used for 10 days plus killing Hp for 4wk; placebo (group C): gastropine for 4wk. Four wk after completing the treatment, the status of Hp eradicated and the ulcer healed as well as histological maturity of healed ulcer was assessed. ......
