    Abstract

    AIM To observe the effects of recombinant augmenter of liver regeneration (rALR),danshen and oxymatrine on the proliferation and production of extracellular matrix (ECM) of rat fibroblasts.

    METHODS Prokaryotic expression plasmid PGEX 2T/alr was constr ucted with DNA recombinant technique, the PGEX 2T/alr plasmid was transformed to XL-1, ALR protein was induced with IPTG and purified with SDS/PAGE. Hepati c stellate cell was isolated by collagenase perfusion and density gradient cent rifuge. Hepatic stellate cell line IG12 was cloned with limited dilution. The ef fects of rALR,danshen and oxymatrine on heptic stellate cell line IG12 and rat f ibroblast cell line WFB was studied. ......
