摘要：体外实验研究结果表明：儿茶药材(煎膏粉)及其主要成分儿茶素、鞣质提取物有清除氧自由基和抑制HX和XO体系产生O^- ₂ 的作用，其清除率及抑制率随着浓度增加而增强，同时能不同程度地抵抗超氧(H₂ O₂ )化合物引起的红细胞溶血，对小鼠肝肾组织过氧化脂质的生成有明显的对抗作用。

Antioxidation and Oxygen Free Radical Scavening Effect of Catechu

Abstract :The results of experiment in vitro show that Catechu and its main composition (catechin and tannins) have the effect on scavening oxygen free radical and suppressing superoxide anion (O^- ₂ ) produced by xanthine and xanthine oxidase systems. The stronger the scavening and suppressing rates are, the greater the concentration of Catechu and its main composition will be. Meanwhile Catechu and its main composition can inhibit hemolysis of red blood cells caused by superoxide compound (H₂ O₂ ) and evidently suppress lipid peroxidation yielded in liver and kidney of rats.
