Abstract: Heart failureis accompanied by severely impaired adrenergic signal transduction function. At thereceptor level， there is down-regulation of b1-adrenergic receptors and uncoupling ofb2-adrenergic receptors.The latter has beed attributed to an increased activity and geneexpression of b-adrenergic receptor kinase in failing myocardium，leading tophosphorylation and uncoupling of receptors.In addition，an increase in inhibitory Gprotein a subunits (Gia) has been suggested to be causally linked to the desensitizationof adenylyl cyclase and decrease in cyclic AMP (cAMP) accumulation.Recent evidencesuggests that cAMP-dependent transcription mechanisms may play a role during b-adrenergicstimulation and cardiomyopathy with heart failure by means of altered actions of cAMPresponse element binding protein.On the other hand ......
