    factorⅠ receptor(IGFⅠR) in renal cancer

    ABSTRACT: Objective To investigate the roles of insulinlike growth factorⅠ(IGFⅠ) and insulinlike growth factorⅠ receptor(IGFⅠR) in the pathogenesis of renal cancer and their clinical significance. Methods Immunohistochemical methods were adopted to examine expressions of IGFⅠ and IGFⅠR in 51 cases with renal cancer and 12 cases with normal kidney. Results The positive expression rates of IGFⅠ and IGFⅠR in renal cancer were 68.6%, 72.5%, significantly higher than 33.3% and 41.7% in normal kidney tissue, respectively. Both expressions of IGFⅠ and IGFⅠR in renal cancer were closely related to the tumor diameter, while insignificantly related to tumor staging, lymph node metastasis and pathological types. Conclusion The parasecretion of IGFⅠ plays important roles in the pathogenesis of renal cancer, however, IGFⅠ and IGFⅠR are not valueable biomarkers for renal cancer. ......
