National foundation for prevention & treatment of
The National Foundation for Prevention and Treatment of Hepatitis was founded in the Ministry of Health recently. This foundation will be used for development of an educational program for the prevention and treatment of hepatitis at a national scale. The institutions such as societies of infectious disease and hepatic diseases etc. of the Chinese Medical Association will be mutually involved in the design and practice of this program.
As a result of insufficient popularized education in prevention and treatment of hepatitis and the misleading false advertisement, a large number of patients were unable to have timely and effective treatment. Additionally, in the application of medical agents, some domestic hospitals relied too much upon the expensive imported drugs which inflicted economic burdens for the patients.
Just because of these, the Ministry of Health had decided to depend upon the " National Foundation for Prevention and Treatment of Hepatitis", specially established a leading group, and in a period of 5 years to launch a campaign of "Health Educational Program of Prevention and Treatment of Hepatitis". Proteli Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region alone donated a sum of 15 million RMB for the establishment of this foundation., http://www.100md.com
