    Effects of hyperthemia on biological characteristics of primary cultured neurons

    【Abstract】 AIM: To study the effects of hyperthemia on the morphology and apoptosis of neurons, as well as the changes of neural vitality at different temperature. METHODS: The morphology of neurons was observed by microscope, their apoptosis was detected by Klenow method and the results were analyzed by image analysis system. The vitality of neurons was detected by MTT reduction assay. RESULTS: The average gray of Klenow positive cells increased with temperature and the highest average gray was 133.40±4.49 while the value of the control group was 69.54±2.70. The vitality of neurons decreased with temperature. CONCLUSION: Hyperthemia induces the apoptosis of neurons and 39℃ is the temperature to induce the peak point of apoptosis. The vitality of neurons decreases with the increase of temperature.
