     Significance of red cell morphological changes in diagnosis and clinical evaluation of kidney diseases

    【Abstract】 AIM: To study the significance of red cell morphology in the diagnosis and treatment of the patients with glomerulonephritis and the patients after kidney transplant. METHODS: The sysmex UF100 automated urinalyer was applied in the examination of cell components and forescatter light concentration of red blood cells. The centrifugal sedimentation was used in dyeing microscope examination of urinary sediment. Red cell morphology was classified and erythrocyte volume was compared with morphology. RESULTS: The coincidence rates of UF100 and red cell polymorphology were 92.1% and 90.1% (χ2＝20.00， P<0.05) respectively in patients with glomerulonephritis and the coincidence rates of UF100 in the 214 patients with glomerulonephritis and the 72 patients after kidney transplant were 92.1% and 51.4% ( χ2＝59.68 ......
