Wartime medical service support in hot and humid environments

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To study some related issues on providing better wartime medical service for the armed forces in hot and humid environments (HHE). METHODS: Induction method was used based on our historical basic research results from animal experiments under HHE. RESULTS: Medical service tasks should be reformed and ¡°four capabilities¡± should be improved, namely, firstª²aid in front line, stretching forward of medical care, fast evacuation of the wounded and generalized medical care. CONCLUSION: Some new conceptions are put forward: emphasizing medical care in local echelon, stretching forward of treatment, integrated medical support of internal medicine and surgery, and the new series of medical service tasks. A new medical service system we call ¡°three supporting areas and five echelons¡± forms an important part of medical care scheme in echelon under HHE. ......
