     Application of cervical plexus block in mastoidectomy

    【Abstract】 AIM: To introduce the clinical experience of the use of cervical plexus block in behindtheear incision mastoidectomy. METHODS: Twentyone patients, ASAⅠ-Ⅱ, aged 15-49 and scheduled for selective behindtheear incision mastoidectomy were under cervical plexus block during surgery. SBP, DBP, HR, SpO2 and the effect of anesthesia were recorded. RESULTS: Satisfactory effects were obtained in 19 cases. No side effect and complications were observed in the 21 cases under study. CONCLUSION: Cervical plexus block for behindtheear incision mastoidectomy is a simple, convenient, safe and economical method.
