     Recombinant PP150 of human cytomegalovirus as antigene for colloidal gold immunodot assay to detect HCMVIgM in sera

    【Abstract】 AIM: To use recombinant pp150 of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) in colloidal gold immunodot assay (CGIDA) for the detection of HCMVIgM in sera. METHODS: A fragment of gene coding for pp150 antigen epitopes (840-1048aa) was expressed in E. coli and the fusion protein was purified. The results were compared with those of specific antibodies ELISA IgM. RESULTS: Recombinant antigen CGIDA had a good agreement (96.0%) with ELISA kit. The specificity of CGIDA was 100% and the sensitivity was 74.2%. CONCLUSION: Recombinant pp150 is an effective and valuable antigen used in CGIDA for detecting HCMVIgM.
