     Effects of oxygenincreasing respirator on SaO2 and heart rate under simulated hypoxic environment

    【Abstract】 AIM: To study the effects of oxygenincreasing respirator on SaO2(blood oxygen saturation, SaO2)and heart rate under simulated hypoxic environment. METHODS: Sixteen subjects were randomly divided into two groups (A and B). All the subjects were put into the hypobaric chamber where 5000 m altitude was simulated. Loadedbicycle exercise test was carried out in the hypoxic environment during the whole test. Subjects in group A put on oxygenincreasing respirators while those in group B did not. The values of SaO2 and heart rate were observed continuously. RESULTS: The values of SaO2 in group A increased significantly(P<0.05)compared with those of group B. Though no significant differences were found in the values of heart rate between the two groups (P>0.05), statistically significant differences between the two groups were observed in the values of recovery heart rate after 3 minutes and 5 minutes(P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Oxygenincreasing respirator can improve the working capacity in altitude hypoxic environment. It helps the acclimatization to high altitude. ......
