Analysis of reliability and validity of Chinese version of 15FQ+

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To assess the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of 15FQ+ (15 Factor Questionnaire plus). METHODS: Undergraduates (n=1540) were recruited to complete the related questionnaires, including the Chinese version of 15FQ+, English version of 15FQ+, Chinese version of 16PF (16 Personality Factor Questionnaire), EPQ(Eysenck Personality Questionnaire), MBTI(Myersª²Briggs Type Indicator)and statistical calculation was made of the scores. RESULTS: The internal consistency reliability (Cronbach¬ðs ¨») and the reliability coefficients (testª²toª²retest, 4ª²week interval) of the Chinese version of 15FQ+ were 0.61-0.80 and 0.64-0.85 (P<0.01). There was a significant correlation(0.42-0.88, P<0.01)between the Chinese version of 15FQ+ factors and that of original English 15FQ+. The criterion validity study showed that the Chinese version of 15FQ+ factors efficiently represent the 16 personality traits. Factor analysis showed that the maximum loading of the items that fell on prime factors was 75%-100% and only 6 items were short of our expectation. CONCLUSION: The Chinese version of 15FQ+ has a good reliability and validity and it can be extensively used in China. ......
