Factors affecting psychological subª²health of officers and soldiers of a submarine unit

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To analyze the main factors affecting the psychological subª²health of the officers and soldiers in a submarine unit and to propose some strategies to improve the psychological subª²health. METHODS: Cornell Medical Index (CMI), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), Selfª²esteem Scale (SES), Spheres of Control (SOC) and a questionnaire about the submarine officers and soldiers were performed in 1035 submarine officers and soldiers. RESULTS: Logistic regression analysis showed the factors influencing the psychological subª²health were: satisfaction of acquiring information (OR=0.575), physical diseases, relationship with colleagues (OR=1.759), relationship with superiors (OR=1.732), sense of profession (OR=1.635), vibration of submarine or nausea marina (OR=1.388), light and lighting on submarine (OR=2.004) temperature difference on submarine (OR=1.688), toughness of work (OR=0.650), knowledge of psychological health (OR=1.491), adaptation to the discipline (OR=1.527), quality of administrators (OR=0.610), anxiety of submarineª²related physical diseases (OR=1.514) and stability of personality (OR=1.681). CONCLUSION: Environmental, physical and social psychological factors will affect the psychological subª²health of officers and soldiers in navy submarine units. ......
