Effects of Yishou Tiaozhi Tablet on blood sugar regulation,hemorheology,nitric oxide and endothelia in alloxan diabetic rats

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To observe the effects of Yishou Tiaozhi (YSTZT) Tablets¬ð prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus (DM) in alloxan diabetic rats.METHODS: The model of alloxan diabetic rats was induced by abdomen injection 50 g/L alloxan for 7 d and the model rats were randomly divided into five groups.Control group and model group were given 10 g/L amylum solution,Metformin group was given metformin solution,Yishou Tiaozhi Groups (Low dosage group and High dosage group) were given TSTZT solution.Three weeks later,the limosis blood sugar,hemorheology,nitric oxide and endothelia in alloxan diabetic rats were observed.RESULTS: Compared with model group,YSTZT,like Metformin,could obviously increase the rat¬ðs bodymass and lower the level of blood sugar (P<0ª±01).YSTZT also obviously improved the hemorheology of DM rats,increased the level of serum nitric oxide while reduced the level of plasma endothelia (P<0ª±01).YSTZT had a doseª²effect relationship.CONCLUSION: TSTZT has some function of lowering blood sugar,which may come from the improvement of hemorheology and the interference of nitric oxide and endothelia. ......
