[摘要] 11β.羟基类固醇脱氢酶(11β.HSD)在胰岛素靶组织内催化皮质醇(皮质酮)与可的松(脱氢皮质酮)相互转化，调节局部糖皮质激素活性。11β.HSD的表达、活性及分布与代谢综合征各方面相关联。抑制或下调11β.HSD1的活性为治疗代谢综合征提供了一种新的方法。作者对这方面研究进展作一综述。

    11beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase in metabolic syndrome

    Abstract:11β.hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase(11β.HSD)catalyzes the interconversion of cortisone(dehydro corticosterone)into cortisol(corticosterone)within insulin target tissues，thereby modulates the activity of glucocorti-coids.11β.HSD expression and activity are associated with the aspects of metabolic syndrome.Inhibition of11β.HSD1or to down-regulate11β.HSD1activity has been proposed as a novel strategy to treat the metabolic syndrome.This essay reviews the evolvement of the study.
