【Abstract】 AIM: To study the morphological features of the hepatic sectional anatomy of digitized virtual human database.METHODS: Sectional anatomic structures of liver were observed and analyzed on the whole series of hepatic images taken from the digitized virtual Chinese human female number 1 (VCHF1) database.RESULTS: The VCHF1 database contained 875 serial hepatic images without any loss of data,each with the slice thickness of 02 mm,a resolution of 30242016 pixels and 175 MB in size,and the total hepatic database was 142 GB in volume.The hepatic anatomic structures,including the hepatic artery,the hepatic vein,the portal vein,the bile duct and the cholecyst,were observed clearly via relevant images.CONCLUSION: The image information of the liver parenchyma,the hepatic veins,the hepatic artery,the bile duct and the cholecyst displayed on the series of sectional images of liver from the VCHF1 database is clear and complete. ......
