Abstract
AIM: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Medilac-S combined with sulfasalazine (SASP) in the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC).
METHODS: Forty-six patients with mild or moderate UC (active phase) were divided into group A (n = 22) and B (n = 24). The patients in group A were treated with Medilac-S and SASP, while those in group B, serving as the controls, were treated with SASP.
