【Abstract】 AIM: To clone fulllength glycoprotein G (gG2) gene of herpes simplex virus type Ⅱ(HSV2) and make a forecast to B cell antigen epitope of gG2. METHODS: The gG2 gene of HSV2 amplified by PCR was inserted into pGEMT carrier, then transected into E.coli DH5α cells for sequencing. Then, B cell antigen epitope was analyzed by Lasergene, Clustal X softwares. RESULTS: We have cloned fulllength gG2 gene of HSV2. By making an analysis to B cell epitope of gG2, we found that the homology in Nterminal of gG1 and gG2 genes of HSV was very low. B cell antigen epitope of gG2 of HSV2 showed a very high antigen index in "peculiarity domain". CONCLUSION: The successful cloning of fulllength gG2 of HSV2 and a successful forecast to B cell epitope of gG2 provide evidences and references for developing diagnostic kits for herpes virus infection and finding better target sites of HSV2 vaccine. ......
