Survey on healthy knowledge of hypertension in countryside of Jiaxing

    Abstract OBJECTIVE By investigating the hypertension healthy knowledge of countryside, to accommodate the scientific evidence for the synthetic strategy of hypertension prevention and control,whose main idea is healthy education and healthy promotion.METHODS 172 people aged from 25years to 74years,chosen by multistage cluster stratified random sampling were investigated at home.Their hypertension basal knowledge, life styles and behaviors were investigated.RESULTS Among 172 persons investigated,those who knew the normal level and the diagnostic standard are 9.88% and 2.91%.The people knowing that fat is a risk factor of hypertension was 65.70%.Knowing smoking was 50.58%,knowing salty flavor was 30.23%,knowing excessive drinking was 70.35%.About one third investigated behaviored with such risk factors of hypertension as smoking,excessive drinking.10.75% people exercised usually.18.60% people was used to get the knowledge to prevent and control hypertension.CONCLUSION The countryside people is serious lack of hypertension knowledge, and they behavior with more risk factors.So the precondition of hypertension prevention and control is to generalize the hypertension knowledge, and help people live in a health lifestyle. ......
