    【Abstract】 AIM: To study the influence of skull on the border in the brain magnetic induction tomography(MIT). METHODS: The head was simplified and approximated to a layered and symmetrical medium sphere,and the excited coil and the inducted coil were located in the border of the sphere. We obtained the field equations by the method of time harmonic electromagnetic field and the distribution of the excited magnetic field by the finite element analysis software. RESULTS: We obtained the changes of the magnetic potential on the border and the distribution of the excited coil and the trend of the magnetic potential on the border. The trend was the same with or without skull axistence. CONCLUTION: The changing trend of the magnetic potential on the border wouldnt be affected by the skull and the change can be detected. ......
