AbstractApoptosis is a regulated physiological process leading to cell death. Fas play a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of various diseases and cell apoptosis. Caspases, a family of cystenie acid proteases, are central regulators of apoptosis. Once Caspase-8 and Caspase-10 are activated, these Caspases cleave and the downstream Caspases including Caspase-3, -6 and -7 are activated, which in turn cleave cytoskeletal and nuclear proteins like RB and Bad, further resulting in cell apoptosis.
