AbstractThe mucosal injury induced by ulcerative colitis can hardly be repaired and the mechanism has not been illuminated yet. No specific method is developed in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, which results in a prolonged course and incurability of this disease. It may provide a novel strategy for the elucidation of the mechanism in ulcerative colitis-induced mucosal injury and the radical cure of this disease to study the relationship between the decrease of mucosal stem cells and the mucosal injury as well as the differentiation and transforming of marrow stem cells, which are transported to colonic mucosa via blood flow, into colonic mucosal stem cells and epidermal cells.
