     Expression and role of HIF1α in carcinogenesis and progression of breast cancer

    【Abstract】 AIM： To investigate the role of HIF1α in tumorigenesis and progression of breast carcinoma through observing the expression of HIF1α in the normal mammary tissue，cystic hyperplasia or atypical hyperplasia mammary tissues and breast carcinoma. METHODS： The expression of HIF1α in the normal mammary tissue (n=20), cystic hyperplasia mammary tissue(n=20), atypical hyperplasia mammary tissue (n=20) and breast carcinoma (n=60) were evaluated by SP immunohistochemistry . The relationship between HIF1α expression and the clinicopathological features of breast cancer was assessed. RESULTS： The expression of HIF1α in the normal mammary tissue was negative, and the positive rates of HIF1α were 5%, 30% and 61.67% in cystic hyperplasia mammary tissues, atypical hyperplasia mammary tissues and breast carcinoma ......
