     Expressions of PKCα and Pgp in Taxolresistant ovarian cancer cell line A2780/Taxol

    【Abstract】 AIM: To detect the expressions of Pglycoprotein (Pgp)and protein kinase Cα(PKC α) isoform in Taxolresistant ovarian cancer cell line A2780/Taxol. METHODS: Immunohistochemical SP method and doublelabeled immunofluorescence were used to determine the expressions of Pgp and PKCα in A2780/Taxol and A2780.Western Blot was employed for assess Pgp expression after A2780/Taxol was cocultured with phorbol myristate acetate(PMA) or staurosporine (SP). RESULTS: There was a coexpression of Pgp and PKCα in A2780/Taxol, but Pgp was not expressed in A2780.And the expression level of Pgp in A2780/Taxol was not affected by the presence of PMA and SP. CONCLUSION: Pgp and PKCα play important roles in the resistance of ovarian cancer cell A2780 to taxol. ......
