【摘要】 短暂性单侧神经痛样头痛是一种罕见的原发性头痛类型，发作时通常伴有同侧结膜充血和(或)流泪等自主神经症状，且一般呈慢性病程，大多数患者因得不到有效诊治而反复求医，给患者带来极大的痛苦，并严重影响其生活质量。目前，在临床工作中，短暂性单侧神经痛样头痛并没有得到足够的认识，由于罕见，国内关于短暂性单侧神经痛样头痛的相关研究较少，因此亟须提高临床医师对其的认识与诊疗水平，降低误诊率。文章就短暂性单侧神经痛样头痛的流行病学、病理生理学机制、临床特征、诊疗等方面的研究进展进行综述，旨在为临床医师提供较为全面的参考，从而提高有效诊治率，帮助患者尽早摆脱病痛，提高生活质量。同时，也呼吁国内外研究者加大对短暂性单侧神经痛样头痛的研究力度，为临床治疗提供更多理论依据。
