骨质疏松症(OP， Osteoporos)是以骨量减少、骨的微观结构退化为特征，致使骨的脆性增加以及易发生骨折的一种全身性骨骼疾病。其发病率高、危害性大受到全球医学界的重视，WHO将其列为三大老年病之一。中医药治疗骨质疏松症的历史源远流长，近年来在这一领域的研究取得了较大进展，作者就此简要总结并评述如下。
