Canada Approves Gay Marriages

    Canada recently became the third country in the world, after Belgium and the Netherlands, to legalize same sex marriages. The new legislation will grant gay couples the same legal rights enjoyed by those in traditional male-female unions. Legislators in Canada's House of Commons voted 158-133 in support of the bill.
