英语书籍 Maybe this part should be called "foreign language books", but my mother tongue is English, so never mind. You can buy quite a lot of books in English in China. Beijing even has a pretty cool lending library for English books. Yet it's often very diffi- cult to get a specific book – the selection you'll find in shops will often turn up some surprising gems that you didn't even know existed, but if you're out looking specifically for, say, the latest Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett, chances are you're out of luck. So that's another item you'll find in the suitcases of expats returning to China – odd assortments of books (usually paperbacks, for lightness) ......
