    Hiking around Kawa Karpo? I didn't have the slightest idea where Kawa Karpo was located, let alone its religious and cultural significance within Tibetan culture. But this was where my hometown friend from Montreal, Nicolas, and I had decided we would be venturing soon. The trip, although strictly for leisure, would be both physically challenging and culturally rewarding; and it seemed a little research into the area before leaving would let us know what we were headed for.
