顺着两旁的巨大白色柱子缓缓前行，便是华贵的祭台了。花蔓交织的镏金铁制屏障将祭台封住。向屏障内部望去，祭台中间供奉着圣母升天油画，油画上方饰有两个天使托举皇冠的浮雕。油画两旁列八十四把胡桃木唱诗班座椅，椅背墙饰圣本笃行实浮雕。较靠外一些，左右两侧各设两个粉色仿大理石祭坛。祭台下面安放着圣加仑的遗骨；相隔百米、后殿下面是圣•奥特玛的墓穴。

    Looking up to the dome, paradise is close at sight. The holy trinity is located in the center and is surrounded by apostles and saints. The whole work has a strong three-dimensional effect. All characters are lifelike and vividly portrayed. The cloud and characters are distributed into rings. The brilliant cloud, with lights and shadows, glitters and rises, as if lifting the characters in the fresco above my head. I felt as if I was in paradise.
