On May 29, 2007, Microsoft CEO Steven Ballmer unveiled the contents of a top secret project at Microsoft, code-named Milan, at the D: All Things Digital technology conference in Carlsbad, California. The amazing new product promises to change the nature of computing as we know it. It is called Microsoft Surface.

    Microsoft Surface is a new type of PC in the form of a black table base with a 30-inch touch screen surface.Users can drag their fingers or other mediums like a paintbrush over the surface to directly manipulate digital content such as pictures, music, and menus. In addition, Surface has been designed to recognize physical objects it comes into contact with. Place a digital camera on the surface and all the pictures in the camera will spill out on the screen underneath. Users can then directly manipulate these pictures with their fingers, move them around, resize them, etc. Place an additional digital camera or cellphone on another part of the surface and you can transfer the photos just by dragging them over. No wires, no extraneous programs, no hassle. Just natural, physical contact. Music and movies can be manipulated and transferred in the same way. ......
