Abstract: Background: Enlarged perivascular spaces (EPVS)are associated with unfavorable prognosis of stroke. Objiective:This study explored the relationship between EPVS and post-stroke depression(PSD). Methods: A total of 352 patients with acute ischemic stroke were recruited from the people hospital of laiwu from2017 to 2018. The extent of EPVS in the basal ganglia (BG) and the centrum semiovale (CS) was assessedon axial T2 weighted magnetic resonance imaging using a validated scale. PSD was defined as a Geriatric Depression Scale score of ≥ 7 assessed at threemonths after stroke. The association between EPVS and PSD was examined with logistic regression. Conclusions: The severity of EPVS is associated with PSD independently. ......
