摘要：代谢综合征(MetS)包含胰岛素抵抗，中心性肥胖，血脂异常和高血压。越来越多的证据表明，MetS成为良性前列腺增生(BPH)发展及相关的下尿路症状(LUTS)的男性重要危险因素之一。本文从MetS的定义及其在BPH-LUTS中的流行病学和生物学角度分析MetS与BPH-LUTS的关系，以及α-受体阻滞剂和5α-还原酶抑制剂、双胍类药物、他汀类药物及改变生活方式和减轻体重方式治疗BPH-LUTS合并MetS作一综述，以期为临床治疗提供参考。
