    【Abstract】Inpatientcareandambulatorycareconstitute the nationalandregional healthcare system.Therelationship betweenthetwosubsystemsisasignificanttopicthatneeds tobestudied.UsingpubliclyreleaseddataofChinaandinteational agencies，thispaper preliminarilyanalyses the statusand trendsofhospital inpatient service provisionandutilizationand potential influencingfactors，aswellastherelationshipbetweenprimarycareandinpatientcare.Theresultsshowthathospital admisionratesinChinaarepositivelycorrelatedwiththedegreeofpopulationagingandtheavailabilityofhospitalbeds，with synchronousgrowthobservedinbedavailability，utilzationrates，andgeneralpractitionerresoures.Hospitaladmiionates varysignificantlyacrossprovinces.Thehospitalizationratecannotbesatisfactorilyexplainedwithcommonlyusedindicatorssuch associoeconomic，populationstructure，and healthresourceallocation，butgeographicdensityof hospitalbedsisrelatedto socioeconomicandpopulationindicatorsandotherresouestructures.Internationally，thesupplyofhospitalbedsisdecreasing inhigh-incomecountries ......
