    【Abstract】BackgroundDiabetes melitus is diffcult to cure and hasa long process.The level of self-care is crucialfordeterminingtheregressionandhealthoutcomesofpatientswithdiabetes.Acomprehensiveandtheory-basedtoolis urgentlyneededtoasesthelevelofself-careofdiabetes.Inthiswaytheselfcareofpatientswithdiabetescanbekeptupto dateandaccuratenursingcarecanbecarredout.ObjectiveToexaminethepsychometric propertiesoftheChinese versionof Self-CareofDiabetes Inventory(SCODI)，andprovideascientificallyvalidatedassessmenttolfortheself-careofChinesepatients withdiabetes.MethodsTheBrislinTranslation Modelwasusedfortranslationandculturaladaptationofthe English versionof theSCODIintoChinese.Atotalof261adult patients withdiabetes were enroledusing aconsecutive sampling method attheFirstAfiliatedHospitalandtheAfiliatedSirRunRunHospitalofNanjingMedicalUniversityfromDecember2022to June 2023.Data werecollcted usingaself-developed general informationquestionnaireandthe Chinese versionof SCODI.
