    【Abstract】WONCA Europe released an updated versionof the European Definitionof General Practice/Family Medicine in 2023，addressing global healthchalengesand the imperative to transformhealthcare systems.This revisionunderscores the importace of\"One Health\"\"Planetary Health\"and \"Sustainability\" withinthedomainof general practice/familymedicine， signifyingaparadigmshiffromthetraditional\"individual-family-community\"modeltoa\"globalecosystemhealth\"framework. This paperaims toelucidatethe background，maincontent，significance，andimpactof the2O23revisionofthe European DefinitionofGeneralPractice/FamilyMedicine，whichprimarilyexploresthecharacteristicsofthedisciplineofgeneralpractice/ familymedicine service system，thescopeofspecialization general practicefamily medicine，thecorecompetenciesof general practitioners/familydoctors，hesentialapplicationfeatuesandtheimplementationbedrockofgeneralpracticefamilymedicine.
