    【Abstract】Cognitive impairment is often manifestedasaseries of brain functiondeficits such as learning，memory， intelectual，emotional，andexecutive deficits.Itoftenoccurs inneurological disorders，aging，andthepostoperative period.Currently，thepathogenesisofthedisease isunclear，andthe blood-brainbarier，oxidative stress，autophagy， inflammation，mitochondria，andneurotransmiters haveallbeenimplicated incognitivedysfunction.Recent studies found thatcopperhomeostasisasociated withcopper metabolismandcopperdeathhadaregulatoryroleincognitivefunction，which maybeakey mechanisminthedevelopmentofcognitiveimpairment.Inthispaper，wesystematicallintroducedtheroleof copperhomeostasisregulatorymechanisms incognitiveimpairmentfromtheperspectivesofmitochondria，glialcels，oxidative reactions，inflammatory factors，neurotransmiters，etc.(Whencopperhomeostasis wasimbalanced，copperionlevels were disturbed，electrolytemetabolismwasbnormal，andasriesofreactions，suchasoxidativestress，inflammatoryaggregation， mitochondrial disorders，and glialcelldamage ......
