    [摘要]临床治疗火热病症实火者常以苦寒清热为主，虚火者常以滋阴降火为主，白长川教授根据多年临床实践提出“厚土伏火”的理论治疗火热病症。“厚土伏火”法即培补脾胃，敦厚中土，是针对脾土不足，中气亏虚，而致虚火上炎所引起的一种以“火”“热”为主要症状的治法，辅以潜镇之药。白长川教授常应用“厚土伏火”的理论辨治寻常痤疮，口疮、脂溢性皮炎等疾病，疗效较好，具有重要的临床价值。
