    [Abstract] Objective To evaluate the different effects of thenon_diabetic hyperglycemia and diabetic hyperglycemia on acute phase of acute ce rebral infarction.Methods The patients with hyperglycemia during hospitalization w ere divided i nto diabetic hyperglycemia group (A), non_diabetic hyperglycemia group (B group)and normal glucose group (C) based on the value of blood glucose and glycosyla ted hemoglobin discharged from hospital 2 weeks later. The patients' informationof NIHSS, size of infarction, clinical efficacy, the average length of stay wer e analysed.Results The patients' NIHSS, size of infarction, therapeutic eff ect, average stay were not statistically different between Group A and B.Conclusions Hyperglycemia for different reasons in the acute pha se of ischemia have equally effect on patients' clinical symptoms and short_termprognosis. ......
