[摘要] 当前高等医学院对预防医学专业学生实践技能培养存在诸多不足之处：混淆实践技能与应急技能，教学内容与形式及师资力量不能满足实践技能培养需要。应提升专业教师自身实践技能水平、利用各种科研活动提供学生接触实践的机会、及时跟踪公共卫生领域发展动态、充分利用毕业实习机会、重视社区卫生服务相关技能培养。
