    [摘要] 《黄帝内经》是中医的奠基之作。本文系統整理了书中关于“咽嗌”的论述，指出“咽”与“喉”的区别：咽属消化道，喉属呼吸道。分析了“咽”与“嗌”的定位、功能及特性。“咽”相当于现代医学中的食管，而“嗌”相当于食管的上端开口处。“咽嗌”是水谷精微上下传导的通道，同时也受到水谷精微的濡养，还是肝胆疾病的外在表现。文中指出与“咽嗌”有关的经络共11条，且“咽嗌”疾病与经络的异常密切相关。“咽嗌”的疾病在《黄帝内经》中可分为两大类，其一为“咽嗌”的局部病变，包括“咽嗌”干燥、肿痛及感觉异常;其二为“咽嗌”的传导功能异常，包括膈咽不通、下嗌还出。治疗上，则是让异常的经络回归正常，选取相应的穴位，根据寒热虚实进行治疗。
