    Analysis on the therapeutic efficacy of barbed suture in scoliosis correction surgery

    [Abstract] Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of barbed suture and conventional suture in scoliosis correction surgery. Methods A total of 60 patients undergoing scoliosis correction surgery admitted to the department of orthopedics of Affiliated People′s Hospital of Nanchang University rom January 2014 to August 2020 were selected，and they were divided into the conventional suture group (n=30) and the barbed suture group (n=30) according to the suture materials of lumbodorsal fascia. The conventional suture group was sutured intermittently with 1-0 Weiqiao (Johnson & Johnson Company)，while the barbed suture group (Johnson & Johnson Company) was sutured with 1-0 barbed suture.
