Overview of Methods for the Detection of Pesticide Residues
in Vegetables

Abstract: Ensuring the safety of vegetable foods and protecting consumer health is a priority. This article summarizes the health risks of pesticide residues and discusses several detection technologies, which include gas chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, enzyme inhibition assay, immunoassay and biosensor-based methods. By introducing the features, pros, cons and uses of each technology, it aims to help choose the right pesticide residue detection method.
