〔摘要〕 肝脏疾病是严重威胁我国人民生命健康的普遍疾病，目前其治疗仍面临缺乏特效药物和药物不良反应的困境。中医药在防治肝脏疾病方面表现出独特的优势，其中栀子及其有效成分在不同类型肝脏疾病治疗中疗效显著。现代药理学研究表明，栀子具有抗炎、抗血栓、抗病毒、抗氧化、调节血脂等作用，可减轻非酒精性脂肪性肝病、肝硬化、肝损伤、肝癌等多种疾病的症状。对栀子在多种肝脏疾病的作用机制相关的新近研究进行总结，以期为栀子在防治肝脏疾病中更深入的研究及临床应用提供参考依据。
