[Abstract]ObjectiveToinvestigatetheefectsof moderate-intensityenduranceexerciseonsenileosteoporosis (SOP) throughtheNOD-likereceptor family pyrindomaincontainingprotein3 (NLRP3)/cysteineprotease-1 (Caspase-1)gasdermin D (GSDMD)signaling pathway.Methods Twenty-one18-month-old maleC57mice wererandomlydivided into three groups:the18- month-oldgroup,the2O-month-oldgroup,andtheexercisegroup,with seven mice ineach group.The SOPanimal model was replicatedusing naturallaged malemice,andanadditional seven six-month-old maleC57mice wereselectedas theyounggroup. Afteroneweek ofadaptivefeding,miceintheyoung groupand18-month-oldgroupwereeuthanized forsamplecolection.Mice intheexercisegroupunderwentmoderate-intensityendurancetraining,whilethoseinthe2O-month-oldgroupreceivedno intervention.Samples werecoletedaftereightweeksof intervention.Bone mineral density(BMD)of theleftfemur ineachgroup of micewasmeasuredusing micro-computedtomography(Micro-CT.ELISAwasused todeterminetheserum levelsof bone metabolismmarkers ......
