    [Abstract]Objective： To explore the clinical effect percutaneous vertebroplasty in the treatment of elderly patients with thoracolumbar fracture.Method： A totalof 106 elderly patients withthoracolumbar fracture admitted to from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected and divided into control group ( n =53)and study group ( n =53)by random number table method. The control group was treated with open reduction and internal fixation， and the study group was treated with percutaneous vertebroplasty. The anterior vertebral body height compression rate and kyphotic Cobb angle of the injured vertebra， and the Oswestry disability index (ODl) were compared between the two groups. Surgery time， intraoperative blood loss， intraoperativefluoroscopy times and recovery (pain relief time，hospital stay and fracturehealing time) were compared between thetwo groups.
