    [Abstract]With the intensification of social aging，the incidence of vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) is increasingdaybyday.Itisof great social significance toexploreand study effective prescriptions thatcan prevent the progresionof the disease.Thetraditional Chinese medicine theoryof \"blood stasis due to Qi deficiency\" has rich and clear discussions on cognitive impairment.Buyang Huanwu Decoction，originating from the Yilin Gaicuo，is a representative formula forbenefiting Qi for activating blood circulation and dispelling stasis and dredging channels. Due to its definite clinical eficacyand exquisite formula composition，it is widelyused incontemporaryclinical practice.
